After a decade working in high-pressure sales roles, I know what it’s like to be constantly “on.” The back-to-back meetings, tight deadlines and pressure to perform left me running on adrenaline and relying on caffeine, convenience food and the occasional glass of wine to keep going.
I wanted to look after myself, but between client calls and travel, it felt impossible. I’d grab whatever was quickest, tell myself I’d get back on track next week, and push through. Eventually, the cracks started to show; low energy, poor sleep, stress, and that constant feeling of being one step behind.
Now, as a BANT registered Nutritional Therapist, I see the same pattern in so many of my clients. Work stress leads to emotional eating, drinking, and late-night scrolling; quick fixes that bring short-term relief but leave people exhausted and burnt out.
